Joel Mark is a manager and partner at YMU in Los Angeles. Joel oversees the global musical careers of Pentatonix, James Arthur, Soul Asylum, Liz Phair, RAC, Vicetone and The Faint, and works for the estate of John Coltrane and Alice Coltrane.
Prior to YMU, Joel was Owner & President of The Workers Institute which released music for Sigur Rós, Johann Johannsson and The Faint. He also worked for Universal Music Group as VP of A&R, MCA, and Geffen where he signed and nurtured careers of artists such as Sigur Rós, Lifehouse and Sonic Youth and started his record career in NYC as A&R for Wind Up.
